Washington Walks-Off With a 3-2 Win Over ASU Softball

Seattle, Washington - A traditional Pac-10 pitching match-up met the Sun Devils Sunday afternoon as the third-ranked Washington Huskies were just able to squeak away with a walk-off 3-2 win in Seattle at Husky Softball Complex. The loss drops ASU to 32-7 overall and 4-2 in the Pac-10 while Washington now holds at 31-5 and 3-3 in conference play.

Aztec Varsity Eight Rows to Runner-Up Finish at Crew Classic

Arizona State Water Polo Falls to 5th Ranked California

Berkeley, California - The 8th ranked Arizona State University water polo team lost 11-9 to No. 5 California in Berkeley, California on Saturday. The loss drops the Sun Devils to 13-11 overall, 0-6 in the MPSF, on the season, while the Golden Bears improve to 28-5, 3-3 MPSF.

Former Aztecs Named to MWC 10th Anniversary Softball Team

Colorado Springs, Colorado - Three former San Diego State softball players have been named to the Mountain West Conference 10th Anniversary Softball Team, the league announced Wednesday afternoon. Sarah Hershman (San Diego, Calif./Mt. Carmel HS), Christina Ross (Santa Clarita, Calif./Valencia HS) and Celena Velasquez (Tucson, Ariz./University HS) were each picked for the team, giving the Aztecs three on the 11-player squad, which tied Brigham Young for most in the league.

ASU Gymnastics Heads to Arkansas For South Central Regional

Tempe, Arizona - The Arizona State women’s gymnastics team ventures to Arkansas this week for their 28th consecutive NCAA Regional. The Sun Devils earned a sixth seed at the South Central Regional, held in Fayetteville, Ark. The Sun Devils will be joined by No. 4 Stanford, No. 10 Arkansas, No. 16 Michigan, No. 25 Arizona and Southern Utah.

SDSU Track and Field Finishes in Second at Cal-Nevada Championships

Los Angeles, California - The San Diego State track and field team moved up one spot from the day before and finished in second place at the Cal-Nevada Championships held at Drake Stadium on the campus of UCLA. The Aztecs earned 84 points and finished behind only the Bruins.

Timely Saves Help Arizona State Water Polo to Sunday Sweep

Tempe, Arizona Lynlee Smith continued her torrid scoring pace on Sunday for the 8th ranked Arizona State University water polo team at the ASU Invitational as she netted 13 goals in two games on the day to pace an offense that scored 36 times as the Sun Devils picked up a pair of wins with a 25-6 defeat of Cal Lutheran and close 11-10 victory over No. 9 UC Irvine.
