San Diego -- The San Diego Padres today returned Terrmel Sledge from a rehab assignment at Triple-A Portland and reinstated the outfielder from the 15-day disabled list. In a corresponding roster move, the club designated outfielder Hiram Bocachica for assignment. Executive Vice President/General Manager Kevin Towers made the announcement.
