The Arizona Western College Matadors men's soccer team (2-6) shutout Scottsdale Community College (1-7) by the score of 4-0. Abdel Becerra was dubbed “ Man of the Match” for the Matadors for his strong play and 2 goals.

Matador Head Coach Kenny Dale stated, “It was a good win. The thing we were worked on in training the last few days was our defense, and whether or not we scored tonight wasn’t as important as stopping the other team from doing so. In fact, I would’ve been happy with 0-0 if that’s what it took tonight. The ability to defend tonight was good. It’s getting a little frustrating being undermanned every game with injuries and other things, but the guys we did bring performed very well. It’s a little challenging-game in and game out.”
