Yuma, Arizona - Arizona Western College is proud to announce that the expanded 10^th Annual Matador Basketball Camp will commence June 16^th. Session 1 will be held from June 16^th through the 19^th, and Session 2 will be held from June 25^th through the 28^th. Both sessions will be held at ‘The House’-the gymnasium on the AWC campus. 

 

The first week of the camp-known as Session 1-is the all-day version, and it’s open to all boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 15 years of age. Registration for the first week will start at 8:30AM Monday, June 16^th at ‘The House’, with the day sessions running from 9AM until 4PM Monday through Thursday. Campers will be instructed on the various fundamentals of basketball, including dribbling, shooting and defense. There will be fundamental teaching stations as well as shooting games that will be held throughout the camp. Lunch will be provided each day during Session 1. The cost for each camper for Session 1 is $125.

 

The second week-known as Session 2-will be a little more specialized, with a morning session and an afternoon session. The morning session will be for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 10 years of age, will run from 9AM until noon, and costs $80. Meanwhile, the afternoon session will be for boys and girls between the ages of 11 and 15 years of age, will run from 1PM until 4PM, and will also cost $80. Both the Monday registration and the sessions that week will be held at ‘The House’ on the AWC campus.
