ASU Hires Championship Caliber Coach for Swimming Program |

Tempe, Arizona - Dorsey Tierney-Walker has been named the head coach of the Arizona State University swimming and diving program, Senior Associate Athletic Director Dawn Rogers announced today, May 19. Tierney-Walker will be only the second head coach in ASU's history to direct both the men and women's swimming teams while becoming the Sun Devil men's program fifth head coach in history and sixth in the women's program. |

San Diego, california - Six San Diego State baseball players were named to the 2009 all-Mountain West Conference team at the league’s pre-tournament dinner Monday evening in Fort Worth, Texas. San Diego, California - For the 11th consecutive year and the 14th time in program history, the San Diego State men’s golf team has earned an invitation to the NCAA regional tournament. The Aztecs are seeded fourth out of 13 teams in the West Regional, which will be contested May 14-16 on the 6,863 yard, par-72, Lake Merced Golf Club in Daly City, California.

The Aztecs (33-18), who are one of three Mountain West Conference teams to earn a bid, will play defending champion and 10th-seeded Arizona State (40-16) Friday on the campus of the Sun Devils at 5 p.m. |

Tempe, Arizona - Two members of the Arizona State University track and field team finished the decathlon at the Pac-10 Multi Championships on Sunday at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore., as Jamie Sandys finished 12th overall and Duggan Grant taking 13th. Both true freshman completed the two-day, 10-event competition with several personal best marks recorded between the two Sun Devils. |
