San Diego, California - A potential Super Bowl preview as the San Diego Chargers take on the Seattle Seahawks in week three NFL Preseason action on Monday, August 25, 5:00pm PST at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.

The two-time defending AFC West Champion San Diego Chargers will return to Qualcomm Stadium to renew their rivalry with the Seattle Seahawks before a national-television audience on Monday, Aug. 25 on ESPN’s Monday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m. PDT.

Former AFC West foes, the Chargers and Seahawks are meeting in the preseason for just the ninth time, with Seattle leading the series, 5-3. That includes a 24-16 win in the preseason opener for both teams in 2007. For more than 20 years, both teams resided in the AFC West, until Seattle moved to the NFC West in 2002. They’ve met 48 times in the regular season.

Seattle also leads that series, 25-23, though the Chargers won the last game, 20-17, in dramatic fashion in 2006. Vincent Jackson caught a 37-yard touchdown pass from Philip Rivers with just 29 seconds left in the fourth quarter to lift the Bolts to victory.
