Phoenix, AZ -The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today that they will be one of PGA Tour rookie Jeff Quinney's sponsors during this week's Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Conn. Quinney will wear the D-backs' "D" snake logo on his shirt during the tournament this week.
"We are thrilled to have Jeff wear our new "D" snake logo on his shirt during play in the Travelers Championship this week," said D-backs' President Derrick Hall. "Since Jeff has a strong local following by being a Scottsdale resident and having attended Arizona State University, having our logo featured on his shirt this week is another way for us to extend our brand to loyal fans who follow the PGA Tour." The Scottsdale resident currently ranks 31st among all PGA Tour competitors with $1,307,715 in official money winnings and 72nd with a 70.75 scoring average this season. Quinney made a strong start to his rookie season this year by earning four Top 10 finishes in his first five events, including a third-place finish at the FBR Open, which propelled him into the Top 100 of the Official World Golf Rankings. He also tied for fourth at the Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, tied for sixth at the PLAYERS Championship, tied for seventh at the Buick Invitational and tied for ninth at the Nissan Open.
