Whether it's his consistently dirty uniform, hair that looks like it never met a brush, shoes without laces or a shirt pulled right out of the hamper, Arizona Diamondbacks star Eric Byrnes has a distinctive style and appearance all to his own. With this look in mind, FSN Arizona and the D-backs are calling on fans to participate in the "Eric Byrnes Look-A-Like Contest," which is set for Friday, July 27, in downtown Phoenix.

The contest coincides with the D-backs home game that night with the Atlanta Braves. Participants are invited to come to the game dressed like Byrnes - and anything goes. A dirty D-backs uniform. Messed up hair. Cargos, T-shirt and flip flops. Or even sporting a wet suit with a kayak and pet bulldog in tow. Whatever creative outfit fans think makes them look most like Byrnes works for this contest.

Participants are asked to assemble at Slider's American Grill on the Chase Field Plaza beginning at 5 p.m. on July 27. While there, they will be judged by the audience and the three people who receive the most crowd response will then get four tickets to the game and the opportunity to appear live on FSN Arizona's Diamondbacks Live pre-game show in the Diamond Club at 6 p.m. During the show, the three finalists will be judged by a panel of judges consisting of Todd Walsh from FSN Arizona, Dan Bickley of XTRA Sports 910 and the Arizona Republic and Erica Williams, co-host of the D-backs pre-game show on 3TV.

The winner will then be unveiled during the FSN Arizona telecast of that evening's Braves and D-backs game and will be interviewed live on the air by Walsh. In addition, the winner will also get the opportunity to meet with Byrnes on July 28 at Chase Field and appear in a segment taped that day for the next The Eric Byrnes Show, Presented by Alltel. The program featuring the winner debuts on Thursday, Aug. 2, at 7 p.m.

For more information about the contest, please contact Brett Hansen at FSN Arizona (602-251-8902) or Catherine Herman with the Arizona Diamondbacks (602-462-6674).

FSN Arizona, which is celebrating its 10th year on the air, is the home of 78 Arizona Diamondbacks games this season, as well as the extensive D-backs coverage on the Arizona Ford Diamondbacks Live pre-game show, Qwest Diamondbacks Live post-game show, D-backs Insider and The Eric Byrnes Show, Presented by Alltel. Beginning next season, FSN Arizona becomes the exclusive television home of the D-backs, airing up to 150 games a season well into the next decade. The network televises the most regional sports action in the state and is the exclusive cable television home of the Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Coyotes, Phoenix Suns, Arizona Cardinals, Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Arizona Rattlers and Phoenix Mercury. FSN Arizona is currently seen in 2.8 million households in Arizona & New Mexico and can also be seen across the country via home satellite services.
