Peoria, Arizona - The San Diego Padres announced that they have agreed to terms with 24 players on contracts for the 2008 season. Executive Vice President/General Manager Kevin Towers made the announcement from the club's Spring Training complex in Peoria, Arizona.
Agreeing to terms were right-handed pitchers Heath Bell, Kevin Cameron, Ernesto Frieri, Mike Gardner, Justin Germano, Carlos Guevara, Clay Hensley, Wilton Lopez, Cla Meredith, Tim Stauffer, Jared Wells and Mauro Zarate; left-handed pitchers Justin Hampson and Joe Thatcher; catcher Colt Morton; infielders Callix Crabbe, Chase Headley, Kevin Kouzmanoff, Paul McAnulty, Brian Myrow, Oscar Robles, Luis Rodriguez and Craig Stansberry; and outfielder Scott Hairston. All players on the Padres 40-man roster are now under contract. |
