Michael Barrett of the San Diego Padres has been suspended for one game and fined an undisclosed amount for his inappropriate actions during his Club's July 22nd game against the Philadelphia Phillies at PETCO Park in San Diego. Bob Watson, Vice President of On-Field Operations for Major League Baseball, made the announcement.
Unless appealed, Barrett's suspension is scheduled to begin tonight, when the Padres play the Colorado Rockies. If appealed, Barrett's suspension will be held in abeyance until the process is complete. Listen to the Padres live on KXO Radio AM1230 |
