 The San Diego Padres announced that the team has received more than 50,000 total entries for the opportunity to purchase 2007 National League Division Series (NLDS) tickets. The random drawing affords winners the opportunity to purchase up to four tickets to one game of the NLDS at PETCO Park. Padres Executive Vice President for Business Operations Jeff Overton made the announcement.
Registration began last Wednesday (September 5) and runs through Monday (September 17) at 12:00 p.m. PDT. The opportunity is available online only at padres.com and padresbeisbol.com. "We are pleased to offer this special opportunity, which is the most equitable way to take care of the greatest number of Padres fans," said Overton. "Only Season Ticket Holders will have priority over registration winners and this is a great way to be a part of what we hope will be a very exciting October at PETCO Park." The same pool of registrants will be eligible for the opportunity to purchase National League Championship Series and World Series tickets. Winners will be notified via e-mail. The Padres will put a limited number of tickets on sale for each potential Division Series home game, beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 29. Tickets will only be available for purchase online or by calling 1.877.FRIAR TIX. |
