San Diego, California - The San Diego Chargers signed defensive tackle Ryon Bingham to a three-year contract extension through the 2010 season. Bingham was due to become a Restricted Free Agent following this season.
“Ryon has been one of our young, developing players and has made great progress,” said General Manager A.J. Smith. “We are extremely pleased that he will continue to be a Charger."
Bingham is in his fourth NFL season after being drafted by the Chargers in the seventh round in 2004 out of Nebraska. He has played in all 14 games this season, including his first two starts, and 31 games in his career. His 47 tackles this year rank fourth on the defensive line.
