The MNF gang will convene in San Diego for what promises to be an exciting matchup as the Chargers look to put back-to-back last-second losses behind them when they face Brett Favre and the Jets. Kickoff is 5:30 p.m. PDT. The Chargers and Jets history, which dates back to the formation of the AFL in 1960, is both long and storied. The game that most fans remember is the one from January 2005 when they met in an AFC Wild Card Playoff game and on a cool and rainy night in San Diego and the Jets upset the Chargers, 20-17 in overtime. The Chargers however lead the all-time regular-season series, 18-11-1, including a 31-26 win at the Meadowlands in a rematch game during the 2005 regular season. This is the second ever MNF meeting between the Chargers and Jets. San Diego beat New York, 24-16, in a Monday night game at San Diego Stadium back on December 15, 1975.
