Glendale, Arizona - The Phoenix Coyotes will have the eighth overall drafting position for the 2008 NHL Entry Draft, which will be held Friday at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa and will be televised on Versus at 4 p.m. Arizona time. The first round of the draft will begin on Friday and rounds 2-7 will start on Saturday. The Web site will have live updates of the Coyotes' picks and will also feature video interviews with Coyotes draft selections and team management. The Coyotes will also host a free NHL Draft Viewing Party on Friday from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Upper Deck Sports Grill in Scottsdale. Coyotes players Derek Morris and Peter Mueller, along with Coyotes mascot Howler, are scheduled to appear from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. for autographs and pictures.
