Glendale, Arizona - The National Hockey League announced today that Phoenix Coyotes goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov was named the NHL’s ‘Second Star’ for the week ending November 25. Philadelphia Flyers center Daniel Briere was named the first star while Dallas Stars goaltender Mike Smith was named the third star. 
 
Bryzgalov posted a 3-0-0 record with a 1.62 goals-against average (GAA) and .938 save percentage (SV%) as the Coyotes (11-10-0, 22 points) extended their season-high winning streak to four games. Bryzgalov turned aside 28 of 29 shots in a  4-1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings on Nov. 21, stopped 23 shots in regulation and overtime followed by two shootout saves in a 4-3 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Nov. 23 and blocked 25 of 26 shots in a 5-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Nov. 24. Bryzgalov, who was claimed off waivers by the Coyotes from Anaheim Nov. 17, has posted a 4-0-0 record with a 1.22 GAA, .954 SV% and one shutout with his new club.
 
Bryzgalov becomes the second member of the Coyotes to be named an NHL Star of the Week this season  Center Steven Reinprecht was named the league’s ‘Second Star’ for the week ending Nov. 11 after recording four goals and three assists in three games.
 
The Coyotes will begin a four-game road trip at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 28 when they travel to Minnesota to take on the Wild.
