The Phoenix Coyotes unveiled their new RBK Edge uniforms on Saturday, Sept. 15 as part of the 3rd Annual CoyotesFest at Jobing.com Arena. The Coyotes joined the 29 other NHL clubs this season in wearing a new technologically-advanced uniform system featuring fabrics that are more form fitting and aerodynamic as well as breathable and water repellant. The NHL and Reebok worked together for more than two years to update the NHL uniform in an effort to enhance player performance and increase player protection and safety. Through extensive research and testing, Reebok was able to create uniforms using lighter fabric and stretch material, including Reebok PlayDry™ and Bead Away™ technologies, to offer more comfort and freedom of motion for the players. The entire uniform system was created with a more anatomical fit, integrating better with the players’ padding and equipment, which also enhances the range of motion. The Coyotes will again wear their brick red uniforms at home and white jerseys on the road, with both jerseys featuring the familiar howling Coyote logo in brick red, desert sand, and black. Both jerseys will feature a lace-up collar and the “PHX” patch on the left shoulder. Striping has been removed from the bottom of both the home red and road white jerseys while brick red will cover the shoulders of the white jerseys to give the state-of-the-art uniform a retro look. Both the red and white jerseys will have three contrasting stripes on the sleeves and feature the NHL logo at the center of the neckline. The bottom of the new jerseys will be rounded with a longer flap in the back. The Coyotes will also hold six Reverse Jersey Nights at Jobing.com Arena this season. The following is a list of six home games when the Coyotes will wear their white road uniforms: Monday, Sept. 17 versus Colorado Avalanche
Saturday, Oct. 27 versus Dallas Stars Saturday, Nov. 24 versus Toronto Maple Leafs Monday, Dec. 31 versus Colorado Avalanche Thursday, Mar. 6 versus Montreal Canadiens Tuesday, Mar. 25 versus San Jose Sharks |
