Malibu, California - The 52nd-ranked Pepperdine, which has won the doubles point in all of their matches this year, continued to dominate as the Waves defeated the Aztecs on all three courts. Holly Bagshaw and Eliska Krausova had the daunting task of facing the nation’s 35th-ranked duo of Anete Bandere and Anamika Bhargava at the No. 2 spot. The Aztec tandem were the last ones off the court, but still found themselves on the short end of the stick, dropping an 8-3 decision. SDSU was unable to get much going in singles action, falling in straight sets in five of their six matches. Bagshaw played No. 99 Sylvia Kosakowski down to the wire at the No. 1 position, but eventually dropped a 4-6, 7-5, 10-6 heartbreaker. The Aztecs will be right back in action on Friday, Feb. 15, when they host 11th-ranked USC at the No. 17 Pepperdine 7, No. 52 Doubles Order of finish |
